Dear Sir
On the 20th May '09
I sent you an e-mail concerning
our G.P.R. Wessex garage door and have not received a reply or an
acknowledgement.
Furthermore
to this e-mail I have attached some photos of our chosen Wessex
garage door fitted I assume by one of your "local Wessex
garage door specialist".
The
first attachment (Wessex Brochure) shows part of a Wessex brochure
and the garage door we chose from it, the Canterbury in Rosewood,
this shows a very attractive door that fits neatly into the door
frame and fits snugly into the door frame opening which as ours
was 'made to measure' we expected the same. The only difference
was that we chose a white doorframe like that of the 'Avonbrook'
and the brochure shows no signs of any unsightly mastic infill on
the sides.
All
other attachments show photos of a door that does not fit in the
frame as neatly and level with the front as the Wessex brochure
shows they should be, the gaps between the door sides show internal
parts which again the brochure does not, these gaps in the brochure
seem minimal.
Now
we come to the fitting of this 'made to measure, garage doors by
the experts and because I complained I was confronted by a very
aggressive Wessex Door Agent. I think the photos speak for themselves,
a large uneven gap along the top with a white mastic infill that,
as I previously said, looks like a very bad 'paint job'.
My
question is, do you believe this is the standard that should be
acceptable to Wessex Doors customers or did I expect too much when
I chose a Wessex garage door??
In
case you have problems accessing any of my e-mail I have put it
on the internet along with photos: -

Before
you choose a Wessex Garage Door based on their Brochure come and
look at ours.
This
is not the end of the story, to follow a 'Police investigation',
'Solicitors letters', 'Trading Standards' and Clive and his 'Merry
Men' creep back in the night to replace the tatty garage door so
the Police will drop their investigation and to save him getting
a 'criminal record'.
